Counseling for Business and Faith Leaders in Bryan-College Station

A confidential space for the
people other people lean on.

Jared Meyer, LPC · Nearly a decade of counseling experience

Anchor Ridge Counseling and Consulting offers individual counseling for business and faith leaders in Bryan-College Station and virtually across Texas. This is counseling for leaders who hold a lot for others. Leaders who've made things work, who don't usually need help, but who've reached the point where carrying it alone is costing more than it's worth.

Some of what you may be carrying:

  • Everyone brings their problems to you. You don't have a place to bring yours to.

  • You can read a room better than anyone. You haven't read yourself in a while.

  • You cast vision for everyone else. Your own has gone quiet.

  • You're patient and steady at work. You walk in the door at home and lose it over something small.

  • You've built something real. Somewhere along the way, you lost track of yourself.

  • You're used to solving all the problems. This time, the usual moves aren't working.

  • The people closest to you say you seem "fine." You know you're not.

If any of this sounds familiar, you don’t have to sort through it alone.

A Different Kind
of Support

Most leaders show up the first session a little uncertain. They've made things work in their life up to this point. Most things still are. They wonder if what they're dealing with really rises to the level of bringing it to someone else. It almost always does.

The first session, we slow down. I'll listen. I'll ask honest questions. By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of what's actually been weighing on you and what working together would look like over the coming weeks. No agenda you have to perform against.

From there, sessions are usually weekly or every other week. Some of the most important work happens between sessions, as clarity surfaces and small shifts show up in how you lead and live. Some leaders work with me for a defined stretch of eight to twelve sessions to get clear on something specific and figure out what they want to do with it. Others stay longer to do deeper work. You set the pace.

Sessions are fifty minutes, in person in College Station or virtual anywhere in Texas. You don't have to come in with the answers. That's something we get to sort out together.

Take your next step toward steadier ground

Counseling here meets you where you are. For Christian leaders, faith is part of the foundation of the work. It shapes how you see, what you carry, and how change actually takes root. Sometimes we engage it directly. More often it stays in the background, shaping the work. Leaders of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome here.

A Note on Discretion

Confidentiality matters more when you're someone people in town recognize. The office sits in a quiet professional building with private parking and a discreet entry. If virtual sessions feel like the better fit for any reason, those are available anywhere in Texas. What we talk about stays here. That's not a marketing line. It's the practice.

“Leadership requires the courage to enter places of uncertainty."
